California Supply Chains Act

AGRANA Fruit US, Inc. is an affiliate of AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG.  At AGRANA we support the intentions and moral foundation of the California Transparency in Supply Chain Act of 2010

Sustainability is an integral element of AGRANA’s corporate philosophy. For us, this commitment begins long before the industrial processing of agricultural raw materials, namely during their procurement. In our Fruit segment, we produce custom fruit preparations for the dairy, ice-cream and baking industries around the world. Our Fruit segment is also involved in the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI).

For AGRANA, the focus of sustainability work in the upstream value chain is therefore the development of a strategy for ensuring and documenting sustainability aspects in the procurement of agricultural raw materials and intermediate goods.

These AGRANA principles set both minimum social standards (by reference to the AGRANA Code of Conduct) and environmental criteria that AGRANA regards as relevant for the sustainable production of the agricultural raw materials required by the Group. The principles also address different ways for suppliers to meet these sustainability criteria, according to the degree of vertical integration of the respective sourcing model. The integration of the principles into individual agreements with contract growers and other raw material suppliers has begun.

Agrana Fruit US, Inc. as part of its vendor communications distributes the AGRANA Code of Conduct and confirms that, to the best of our knowledge, AGRANA and our direct supply chain partners do not partake in slavery or human trafficking.

The principles within the AGRANA Code of Conduct refer to the international labor standards defined by the International Labor Organization.

  • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards

  • Labour and Human Rights

  • Child Labour • Forced Labour

  • Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

  • Non discrimination
